Welcome to Navi Mumbai Science Foundation (NMSF)

Navi Mumbai Science Foundation (NMSF) is a science led NGO, dedicated to the cause of development of scientific culture in the society and scientific temperament in the student community. NMSF plans and conducts a multitude of activities, in each academic year, which are focussed on building a problem-solving attitude and collaborative mindset. These programs are aimed at enriching the competence of the students in such a way that it will ensure their successful transition from academics to societal needs. This is achieved in several ways .

1. Via interaction between students and creative personalities - by conducting interactive sessions involving science and maths for programs like Homi Bhabha Bal Vaidnyanik Award [HBBVA] Examination and Maths Olympiad.

2. The “Science Utsav” program serves the following purposes: i) “Teachers' Conference” provides prime opportunity to teachers to acquaint themselves with the latest trends in the field of education & strategies of knowledge transmission, and ii) “Exhibition of Science Experiments” fosters hands-on approach to learn basics of science amongst students.

3. The activity "Fun with Science" conveys the joy that science education has in store for students and the event "World Nuclear Energy Day" presents facets of nuclear energy and other forms of energy in a balanced manner.

4. The two essay competitions engage school level students in learning about i) the life & works of Nobel Laureates & ii) formidable problems encountered in the exploration of space.

5.The “National Science Day” celebration acquaints the students with the current state of developments & opportunities available in the fields of science & technology. Further, celebration of National & International Mathematics Days permits students to know more about the new dimensions of “Quantitative Approach” to any field of human activity. All the above activities help NMSF to promote the cause of science through a defined action plan.
